We had a fun weekend visit from our friends Kelly and Samantha, who live in Paris. Sunday we ventured down to the Duomo, which Owen always enjoys because of the pigeons.
Of course, he also enjoys sitting on the floors of churches. This is from Santa Maria delle Grazie.
Saturday morning Laura had a volleyball game. This meant missing the trip our visitors took to Florence, but we still had fun. While Owen and I watched from the sidelines (well, one of us was watching, the other was playing on the iTouch and snarfing down snacks), Laura and fellow American School of Milan middle-schoolers battled Sir James Henderson (Milan's British school, not the gentleman himself).
We also had some other friends over Saturday night so Kelly could offer advice to our friends moving to Dili and so she could meet our friend Rachael because they'd never met despite having graduated from high school together.
Awesome friends, awesome weekend. Who's next?

This was such an awesome visit! I loved how we did so much but I never felt overwhelmed or rushed. Great conversation, great food, beautiful place I would say just about perfect! Thank you Zoe for being a fabulous hostess!
