Look! It's a doorway to ...

Well, I'm not sure what's in that courtyard, but I've always admired this arch and finally got around to taking a photo of it.

It's been too hot for doing much adventuring recently. That, combined with the general lull that surrounds Aug. 15 in Italy, has led to a rather predictable pattern of going out in the mornings and then returning home for lunch and staying in most of the rest of the day.

I think I'd be happier with the slow time of year if I could view it from a balcony such as this, though.
