Yesterday Kevin finished class/work early (what Laura calls an early release day), so we went to the National Air and Space Museum. The Museum of American History is being renovated, so the Air and Space Museum is housing the Treasures of American History exhibit.Some kid behind us was pestering his mom about what in the world the Wizard of Oz had to do with American history, but I thought it was cool to see. (He wasn't behind us by the time we got to the Star Wars section, so I don't know whether he considered that to be more appropriate exhibit material.)
Later, there's a sunstone from the original Nauvoo Temple.

I guess it makes sense to have Dorothy's shoes in the Air and Space Museum. She did fly!
